Frog Glossary L
Labial: Pertaining to the lips.
Lateral: Pertains to the side.
Lateral line organs: Sensory organs embedded
in the lateral lines of some aquatic frogs and are sensitive to vibrations.
Leptodactylid: A group of anurans.
Lichenate: Irregularly edged (usually) darker
markings; similar in their appearance to the irregular growth pattern of a lichen.
